Two hours of travel, adventure, the sea and myth built around 'Itaca' by Lluís Llach, itself inspired by the Homeric work of Constantine P. Cavafy. Read the poem here

This show features 26 artists, here is some information on some of them:

eden abhez:

eden abhez, born George Alexander Aberle, rose to prominence after writing Nat King Cole's No.1 hit "Nature Boy". He spent many years in California, at one point camping under the famous Hollywood sign, and his lifestyle influenced the upcoming hippie movement. Some credit abhez with not only making the first proto-psychedelic music (a fitting first track for this program) but also for being the first hippie, a bridge from the beats to something new in the 1960's.

Lluís Llach:

Llach is a Spanish Catalan singer-songwriter, a big wheel in the artistic movement known as Nova Cançó that defied the repressive Franco dictatorship by promoting Catalan culture and singing in the Catalan language.

Yamasuki:

This band and album was a project between Jean Kluger and Daniel Vangarde. Neither one Japanese, but rather Belgian and French respectively, the pair learned the language to record this album. Daniel Vangarde is the father of Daniel Bangalter, half of duo Daft Punk.
