The Upside: Represent 01.09.19

I'm speaking with Sha'an Mouliert, the co-coordinator of I Am Vermont Too, a photography and media project that represents self-identified individuals of color living and going to school in Vermont. We're talking about representation, community, and racial justice, and playing songs that celebrate justice, change, and identity.

Sha'an Mouliert is a consultant, community organizer, educator, and activist artist. She initiated and chaired the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom’s (WILPF) Building the Beloved Community Committee, whose mission was to provide educational information about the history and nature of systemic racism, connections between oppressions, and the struggles for racial justice. As a WILPF delegate, she attended the 2001 United Nations World Conference Against Racism held in Durban, South Africa. In 2015, she received Lyndon State College Presidential Medal of Distinction. Currently, she is the co-coordinator for I Am Vermont Too.
