Two hours of more recent music than is usually heard on this program. It may surprise you that this show is almost completely powered by Zune, the now-discontinued Microsoft brand answer to the iPod that was introduced to the world in 2006. All of the songs featured on this episode have been selected from new folk and psych-inspired songs released after I purchased a Zune of my own. And of course this episode will be played off of my still-functioning Zune products, as are all of my shows.

21 different acts in this show, here is some information about some of them:

First Aid Kit:

At the core of the band is sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, from just outside of Stockholm Sweden. The sisters had been interested in all sorts of American music growing up, but it wasn't until seeing the Coen Brothers film O Brother, Where Art Thou? that they became interested in folk. They began their distribution by posting their songs to MySpace before drawing the attention of the electronic band The Knife, eventually being signed to their label. For their first EP they re-recorded their MySpace tunes and released it as Drunken Trees in 2008. They soon gained international fame with a cover of a Fleet Foxes song which led them to committing to the music business and going on tour as well as dropping out of high school.

Countries represented: USA, England, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Wales.
