Thrive 2019-06-17

Today we're talking about the power of mindfulness to transform every aspect of our lives.

During the first hour of the show, we're listening to a pre-recorded interview with William Meyer, a teacher who has woven meditation into his history, economics and humanities teaching curriculum. He shares the deep ways in which this practice is helping his students develop self-awarenes, the capacity for reflection, a deeper sense of self, and even greater empowerment in their schoolwork.

During the second hour of the show, we are joined live by Mark Coleman, a 20+ year teacher of mindfulness and meditation. He will be talking about his latest book, From Suffering to Peace, The True Promise of Mindfulness. The book is extraordinary. It's not only profound in wisdom but also an easy, practical read. He shares how a mindfulness practice can help us transform every aspect of our lives from our body, our mind, our hearts, and our engagement with the external world.
