Labi Siffre:
Claudius Afolabi "Labi" Siffre was the jazz guitarist for the house band at Annie Ross's jazz club in Soho during the 1960's. His biggest hit was "(Something Inside) So Strong" which reached number 4 in 1987, a song he recorded in response to apartheid in South Africa. The most recognizable Siffre tune may be "I Got The..." which has been sampled numerous times most famously by Eminem on his song "My Name Is..."

"All Girls Should Have a Poem"
For Valerie
All girls should have a poem
written for them even if
we have to turn this God-damn world
upside down to do it.
