The Shadows Of Knight:

The group formed in in the Chicago suburbs in 1964, originally under the guise of The Shadows. Soon after the members realized that was already an existing band’s name across the pond, so they added the mascot of their high school to form the new moniker: The Shadows of Knight. The goal of the group was to add the Chicago sound back into the style adopted by English blues rock bands such as The Rolling Stones and The Yardbirds. They gained popularity with their cover single of Them’s Gloria, which made it to number 10 on the Hot 100. This chart success was largely helped locally by the fact that a notable Chicago station had banned Them’s version due to alleged inappropriate lyrics, The Shadows Of Knight avoided this fate by sanitizing the words. The followed with a cover of Bo Diddley’s Oh Yeah, which made it to number 39 on the charts. By 1967, only the vocalist, Jim Sohns remained as an original member, but after a fifteen year hiatus and over 40 different members, Sohns is still keeping The Shadows Of Knights alive on the concert stage.

Françoise Hardy:

"France's most exportable female singing star" started her musical career by answering an ad in the newspaper seeking young singers. Hardy soon signed a contract and released her first album Tous les garçons et les filles in late 1962. Hardy was on her way to being pushed to the forefront of the yé-yé movement and the French pop scene as well as becoming a fashion icon. In 2018, she wrote an autobiography equipped with possibly the greatest title ever conceived: The Despair of Monkeys and Other Trifles: A Memoir by Françoise Hardy, although I have not read it, I have heard in an interview with Hardy that you must wait until the last page of the book for the title to be explained.
