Thrive 2019-08-19

Today's show is especially geared towards parents.

During the first hour of the show, we're listening to a pre-recorded conversation with Bill Meyer, a history and humanities teacher who weaves meditation into the course curriculum. He shares the different types of meditation he teaches them, how it becomes a core part of certain projects, and how it's affecting his student's self-awareness and reflection abilities.

Then at 2:00, we're joined live by John Lanza, author of the book The Art of Allowance, A Short, Practical Guide to Raising Money-Smart, Money-Empowered Kids. He talks about how he uses a 3-jar allowance system to teach kids how to become money-savvy from a young age.
