Blue Suede Rock

    • Thursdays, 4:00pm6:00pm

I'm Stone Hill, your host of Blue Suede Rock, the Heart and Soul of Rock & Roll.

This is a radio show where YOU will feel, remember and even yearn for the times of the 50s, 60s and 70s (and some 80s, too).  You will listen to the great, big beats and cool lyrics of the roots and flowers of Rock & Roll.  I am also your Rockology Professor and you will learn the origins of Rock & Roll, hear the rarest of rare records, the biggest hits, and great and not so great performers. And, Yes, there will be will quizzes and tests, too!

Rock & Roll legends include Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Four Seasons, Supremes and more.  Music genres will include Oldies, Disco, Psychedelic, Folk Rock, Blues and others.

Special emphasis will be ELVIS Presley, the King of Rock & Roll. You'll hear his top singles, album tracks, and live performances including very rare recordings from the 50s. Tales of his beginnings, climb to fame and the 70s concerts will also be featured. I was lucky enough to see ELVIS perform live three (3) times, being as close at two (2) rows stage front in Las Vegas in 1973 and at the legendary Madison Square Garden Concert in NYC, June 1972, now known as the Prince From Another Planet.
